Spring card... if it will EVER come to us!

So I am finding that I enjoy the challenges on the blogs WAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY too much!  One thing I really love doing is seeing how many I can combine into one project.  It gives me an incredible challenge instead of just a challenge.  I am sickly competitive so I compete against myself.  I want to see if I can make something better than the time before.

This is my first time using a flower or button on a project!  I really like it too.  I can't believe that I like it this much and now it is ONE MORE thing to spend MONEY on!  YIKES poor hubby... less money and bigger laundry piles are in his future :).

Below the pic is the information on the challenges I put this car in!

THANK YOU so much for visiting my blog.  Thanks in advance to new followers and for blog love!

Isn't the blue card stock so cute?!  It is from core'denations
The "Time 4" came from the Cuttin' Up, it actually said "Time 4 fun" and I cut the fun off.
"Spring" is from Stretch Your Imagination.
The paper flower is from Bazzill Basics Paper.
The "pearls" were something I picked up for a buck at A.C. Moore.
I used scraps for the flowers and for the strip of paper on the bottom of the card.
The "stiching" is with my favorite Fiskars gel pens.
The card is 9x4

Challenges:
Peachy Keen Stamps has a sketch challenge going on that I followed for my layout on this card.  The twist, add some bling.  Notice the bottom right hand corner ;)
Claudia and Company have a recipe challenge.  This was my hardest one to follow!
Stitching (real or faux)- I am really starting to like stiching
2 patterned papers- my flowers
buttons- center of my flower
a sentiment
circles- button and pearls
scallops- This was my harder one to fit in.  I used scallop scissors to cut the pattern paper stripe
Pause Dream Enjoy challenges us to do a fun fold.  I used a long fold.
Cricut Cardz Challenge is to do a tall card, so I did and then laid it on it's side.
For Fun Challenges and Patti Lynn Creations is to do a spring card!  I LOVED doing something springy.  Winter is depressing me.
Paper Craft Star  challenges you to make a spring card using specific colors.
Tuesday Throw Down is to use scraps.  That is what I used for the lettering, flowers, and paper strip.
Cooking With Cricut is challenging us to use a time piece or reference time in our card.

Wow! I am tired just typing all that :)

Thank You card, Stretch Your Imagination

Another card for today.  I actually have a bunch I want to make this week for thank yous for all the help during my surgery.  I also have a triple birthday party coming up Saturday night.

Over at More Than Favors they are challenging you to use the Stretch Your Imagination cartridge this week.  This was one of my very first cartridges and I always forget to check it.  It has a huge variety of cuts on it and is worth checking out more often!  I used the card feature on the cut to make this card.

At Fantabulous Cricut they are challenging us to put a tree on a project.

The stamped "thanks" is part of a border stamp I had kicking around.

As always, thanks for taking a minute to check out my project!!!  I put a couple of pics because it is sort of hard to see the tree and how it lays I think.

Another St. Patrick's Day card

I am feeling a bit better today.  I actually WANTED to do something today so I am counting that as an awesome sign.  My plan is even to go to work tomorrow!!!  Even better :)

Anyway, for today I thought I would make a St. Patrick's Day card and enter it into a few challenges.  I am actually pretty happy with how it came out!  No pain killers today and a cute card... this is going to be a FABULOUS Monday!

Thanks for checking out this project!  If you find it interesting take a peek at other things on my blog and give me some tips and love.  I have no fear in asking for that :)

What I did:
The sentiment is a $1 clear stamp!  YAY I LOVE bargains.  It is "studio G"
The pot is from Paper Doll Dress Up
The shamrocks are from Give A Hoot
The paper is random paper I had in my stash
I used craft glitter for the gold
The punch is ek success- scroll and dots

For the challenges:
Crafting with Christina is a St. Patty's project

Update 100 Day Banner

After creating the banner for the 100th day of school we hung it in the hallway as you enter the K-2 wing of the school.

Then I took it down and hung it on our bull. board with our 100 day collections.  To see the original post go here.

A shape card :)

My intentions were to craft all day Friday and Saturday. I am so disappointed that that hasn't worked out for me :(  I had some cysts removed and I kept thinking that was easy enough and I would be up on my feet in hours.  God has a funny way of working though.  The anesthesia and pain killers had another idea for me and I have been sleeping non stop.

Anyway, enough whining.  I HAD to get out of bed.  We are headed to a birthday party at a Mexican restaurant for a 5 year old so my daughter picked the card.  The zebra in car is from Paisley.  The hat is from Designer's Calendar.  I did the Happy Birthday from Zoobaloo.

If you are visiting from a challenge link PLEASE feel free to check out my other projects.  There may actually be one you like :).  I love followers too... I was always that way :)

I am putting this in a couple of challenges too.  It is not my best work but hey it was fun.  I did put a green strip on the inside to tuck money into it- since I have been unable to shop, yet another tragedy!

For challenges:
Fantabulous Cricut is challenging us to use a shape card.

Celebrate the Occasion is challenging us to use white, green and another color.

More Than Favors  has a challenge going on where you create something with a zoo theme.

My first explosion box :)

Sorry for all the pics, this one is hard to photograph!!!!

I keep seeing all of these really cute explosion box things.  So, I figured what the heck why not try it out :)  Over at Cooking With Cricut they have a sswirls and twirls challenge going on so I thought this would be a fun way to do that!

To get started I watched a YouTube video.  That was definitely worth my time! I love how easy YouTube makes our life.

One thing I learned for next time.  Use DOUBLE SIDED card stock for this project.  Trust me.  It would have saved me some money on Excederin.  Oh well, live and learn.

Overall this was a fun project.  It is for a friend that is TRYING to recover from surgery but it is taking longer than expected.  Hopefully this will bring a little smile to her face.

Most of the paper I used for this is from the DCWV Garden Party Stack.  I did cut a few images on my Cricut to add to this.  I took butterflies from Paper Pups and Give a Hoot, the silhouettes are from A Child's year.  Oh the swirls are from Accent Essentials. The stamp is from Stampin' Up.  I don't do much with stamps so that is a skill I need to learn.

If you want some "how to" info let me know and I will show you where I learned.

Vinyl on Wall!

Before

After

ANOTHER snow day!  The last day of February and we are getting dumped on.  At least I get a day off from work with my kids. :)

In my craft space (I can't really call it a room but it is a space I have taken over for my "stuff") the walls are just plain green.  Nothing really matches in there which drives my husband nutso!  I love it because it actually means he won't bug me when I am in there. ;)  I used Lyrical Letters, black vinyl, and my favorite- transfer tape!  For the MOST part this was fun.  The vinyl and I had a few discussions about staying put when I told it to.  We also disagreed on how to make it all look straight.  In the end I won and the vinyl is stuck where I wanted it.

So today I thought I would put a quote on the wall.  My mother is really good with finding quotes so I asked her to help me.  She found this one and I thought it was appropriate.  When I put it up my 9 year old said, "Yep, Mom that is you.  You have a lot of enthusiasm and you make great stuff."  Got to love that kid!

Giving credit- this quote was said by Earl Nightingale.

Thanks for visiting!
