So, I finally have made the list I keep telling myself I am going to make! It lists out challenges you can find around the blogging world.
Next I want to make a list of the monthly things that go on.
If you know of other weekly challenges, hops etc that are not on my list PLEASE let me know and I will add them!
I will keep the list as a tab on my blog so you can always access them. Additionally, when I add something to the list I will do a post so my followers can see there is an update. So, if you aren't following me you may want to ;)

Spring Card
Tonight I got home from grocery shopping and it was just about 25 degrees. I have had enough of the cold! Tomorrow's high is said to be 36 degrees. So, I wanted to do something SPRING like!!!
You may have seen this fabulous blue flower paper in an earlier post. I posted it here. Well, little did I know you actually CAN sand that paper! I loved it just based on the embossing and bought a ton of it. Now I have seen even more potential in it. So you know what I did? Went back to the store and bought more. I can't WAIT to play with that!!! This paper is made by Core'dinations. The green paper is made with that too. You should have seen hubby's face when I asked for sandpaper. He had to explain the numbers on the sand paper to me ;) I used 150 for this.
For the lamb I looked at one of my favorite blogs, Jessica at Chick N Scrap. She does a much better job on the patchwork. This was my first attempt and I will try again for sure. Jessica has a nice tutorial on her site. I cut the lamb from Animal Kingdom.
The lettering is from Lyrical Letters. I used my Cricut Ink for the first time!!! LOVE LOVE LOVE it!!!
Thank you so much for visiting! Thanks in advance for all of the blog lovin'!!!
Challenges:
Queen of my craftroom use ugly paper
CWC lions and lambs
Delicious Doodles is floral fantasy.
Paper Cutz Challenge 3 patterned papers (all on the lamb)
My Sheri's Crafts is spring

Explosion Box Album- Create A Critter
Well hello again! I apologize in advance for being heavy in pics for this post. This thing is hard to photograph!
Can you believe it is the end of March and I we got sent home today for a partial snow day! I am no longer thinking all this white fluffy stuff is pretty!!! I have been working on a SPRING project to help with the depressing and bleak weather.
My intention with this explosion box is to give it to my daughter with her birthday gift. Part of me wants to add more to the box and part of me wants to leave it as is. Decisions decisions.
The animals are all cute with Create A Critter and so are the words in the center. I used one of my punches for the edging on the cover of the box, I didn't like my first cover at all! The paper is all from a K&Company pack... and I LOVE it!!! My sister bought herself a Cricut. She had some questions on how to use the buttons on the top of it. Well, I have a Gypsy so I have no clue how to navigate the buttons on the Expression. So she came and hung out with me to learn how to use the buttons... and created me these critters! You can check out her BRAND NEW blog at Crafty Gator.
The challenges:
At Linda's Creativity the guest designer has challenged us to use our punches. At this point, I only own 1 border punch. My husband got it for me for Christmas. At the time I wondered what in the world I would do with it. Well, I LOVE using it... who would have thought he knew better than me? Don't tell him!!!!
Over at All Sorts Challenge she wants us to make gift boxes... how perfect is this as a gift box? Just tuck a little gift card in or use the box as a gift!
At Creative Time For Me's Throwback Thursday Challenge she tempts us to use any older cartridge.
2 Sisters Challenge this week is "Furry Friends"
This week it is any theme any colors at Paper Cutz Challenge
This is a birthday gift so I thought I would enter it into the birthday challenge at Fantabulous Cricut
This is also 3D for the challenge at Delicious Doodles
I also saw a challenge out there to use Create A Critter... do you think I can find that now?! The story of my life ;)

Spring card... if it will EVER come to us!
So I am finding that I enjoy the challenges on the blogs WAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY too much! One thing I really love doing is seeing how many I can combine into one project. It gives me an incredible challenge instead of just a challenge. I am sickly competitive so I compete against myself. I want to see if I can make something better than the time before.
This is my first time using a flower or button on a project! I really like it too. I can't believe that I like it this much and now it is ONE MORE thing to spend MONEY on! YIKES poor hubby... less money and bigger laundry piles are in his future :).
Below the pic is the information on the challenges I put this car in!
THANK YOU so much for visiting my blog. Thanks in advance to new followers and for blog love!
2 patterned papers- my flowers
buttons- center of my flower
a sentiment
circles- button and pearls
scallops- This was my harder one to fit in. I used scallop scissors to cut the pattern paper stripe
Pause Dream Enjoy challenges us to do a fun fold. I used a long fold.
Cricut Cardz Challenge is to do a tall card, so I did and then laid it on it's side.
For Fun Challenges and Patti Lynn Creations is to do a spring card! I LOVED doing something springy. Winter is depressing me.
Paper Craft Star challenges you to make a spring card using specific colors.
Tuesday Throw Down is to use scraps. That is what I used for the lettering, flowers, and paper strip.
Cooking With Cricut is challenging us to use a time piece or reference time in our card.
Wow! I am tired just typing all that :)

Isn't the blue card stock so cute?! It is from core'denations
The "Time 4" came from the Cuttin' Up, it actually said "Time 4 fun" and I cut the fun off.
"Spring" is from Stretch Your Imagination.
The paper flower is from Bazzill Basics Paper.
The "pearls" were something I picked up for a buck at A.C. Moore.
I used scraps for the flowers and for the strip of paper on the bottom of the card.
The "stiching" is with my favorite Fiskars gel pens.
The card is 9x4
Challenges:
Peachy Keen Stamps has a sketch challenge going on that I followed for my layout on this card. The twist, add some bling. Notice the bottom right hand corner ;)
Claudia and Company have a recipe challenge. This was my hardest one to follow!
Stitching (real or faux)- I am really starting to like stiching2 patterned papers- my flowers
buttons- center of my flower
a sentiment
circles- button and pearls
scallops- This was my harder one to fit in. I used scallop scissors to cut the pattern paper stripe

Another St. Patrick's Day card
I am feeling a bit better today. I actually WANTED to do something today so I am counting that as an awesome sign. My plan is even to go to work tomorrow!!! Even better :)
Anyway, for today I thought I would make a St. Patrick's Day card and enter it into a few challenges. I am actually pretty happy with how it came out! No pain killers today and a cute card... this is going to be a FABULOUS Monday!
Thanks for checking out this project! If you find it interesting take a peek at other things on my blog and give me some tips and love. I have no fear in asking for that :)

St. Patty's Day Card
The entire pot is gold but with flash and cameras it just looks yucky! |
Here is a fun St. Patrick's day card I made this morning while watching MORE SNOW fall. I don't think we will EVER see grass again but at least there is some green on this card.
The hat is cut using A Child's Year. The shoes and pot of gold are cut using Paper Doll Dress Up.
I embossed the hat using my Stars Fiskars embossing plates.
For the hat I used foam dots to make it stick out off the page.
Thank you so much for visiting my blog! I love reading comments and tips. :)
This card is for a few challenges. I enjoy trying to combine elements, it makes it more of a challenge. For the Peachy Keen Challenge I had to have the banner. I REALLY struggled with what to do with that. I redid things about 30 times and was just about to give up when I got this one.
Over at Cricut Cardz Challenge you were to make a St. Patrick's Day card with no shamrock. So I used my Gypsy to get rid of the shamrock on the hat.
Then at The Paper Variety you are challenged to do the "Sew Much Fun" theme and have some real or faux stitching. I actually saw this challenge, that a fellow addict sent me , and thought there was no way I could pull it off. Turns out I had fun with it.
Dina is having her first blog challenge over at Crazy for Cricut go on over and support her there!
Check out "Just Green It" at DYSU
Again, THANK YOU for visiting!!! I think I will go make more projects so I can tell hubby I was too busy to clean today. :)

Tacky Enough?
This card is for the Tacky Tuesday challenge at September 9th. The card needs to have the word "chick" on it and a chick. I got the chick from A Child's Year. The "Rule" comes from Give a Hoot. It actually says "Trees Rule" but I used my Gypsy to get rid of the "trees". I cut the "Chicks" out with Base Camp.
Tacky and quick... but hey it was cool to practice using the tool on my Gypsy where I hid the word trees. I liked trying that out.

Challenge Card
HELP! I can never seem how to use my heat embossing tool!!! I burn everything. I don't know when to STOP. (Not knowing when to stop is not a problem for me just with this. Turns out I have an issue with that in general. I am assuming advice on that is far more expensive!) I start heating it and I keep thinking it needs more. I need advice!!! So PLEASE give me some tips.
This is school vacation week for us. Of course I end up sick, so I am crafting between naps. Why is it that we end up sick on vacation weeks? I am thinking it may have something to do with my classroom full of 5 and 6 year olds coughing and sneezing on me prior to vacation... just a thought.
I found a bunch of challenges this week. I have also found some pretty darn cool people on here! I love that they are sending me more links to challenges and feeding my addictions!
This card is also for the All About Girls challenge at My Sheri Crafts!

Guess why the flower is there? Yep, an embossing screw up!
|
The inside is not fancy at all but the sentiment is from Paisley. |
For this card I used all basic solid cardstock.
I pressed silver pigment ink onto the sunglasses before sprinkling them with purple embossing powder.
I used my embossing heat gun. I blow that on top of the cut, I saw something online that suggested heating from beneath... what do others do? I really need help not burning my stuff!
Thanks for visiting! I love followers. If you find my projects amusing or my rants entertaining follow me. I promise there will be many more pleas for help and total misfit crafts!
This card was created using the Paisley Cricut cartridge for the Cricut Chaos Challenge.
The card is done as a shape card for the Jitter Buggin' Challenge
I am putting it in this other embossing challenge at Linda's Creativity with hopes that SOMEONE ANYONE can stop by and teach me how to do this right. :)This card is also for the All About Girls challenge at My Sheri Crafts!
