Show and Tell- Guest Designer Day

Hello!

Yesterday was the day to do the give away if we had 300 followers... we haven't quite hit it but we are getting there.  So I am extending it a week! Make sure to send your friends over for the show and tell so they can link up.  I have a little something for the person who sends me the most visitors this week!  Make sure they comment and tell me they came from your page!

Check out my first guest designer for show and tells!  Jean from Jean's Crafty Corner is sharing this week.  ONE of the things I love about her blog is the variety of projects she does.  She has some beautiful cards, a fun shadow box, and some awesome lunch bags there to name a few.

She has prepared an entire tutorial on her blog of how she did the project for today!  I am so thankful to have her guest designing!  PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE take a quick trip to her blog!  She worked really hard on this and on her fabulous tutorial!!!  If you like what you see at her page follow her!

Here is her project:

I would love to have you link up your project of choice this week!

I do have a couple of guidelines for show and tell:
* Please link us directly to the post you want to show us NOT your entire blog.
* No back linking, project must be posted after the date/time I post
* If you turn off word verification I would love it ;)  It makes commenting so much easier for everyone.
* You need to link your post back to this blog.
I reserve the right to delete any links that don't follow the guidelines.  (Well, I won't delete it over word verification that is just a helpful one.)

Celebrate the Occasion- Challenge 27

Celebrate the Occasion has a special challenge this week.  We are looking for circle cards for any occasion.  I wanted something a bit different for my circle.  I don't like to keep anything simple :)

My plan is to put this in one of my kid's lunch boxes for their first day of school next week.

I used Core'Dinations cardstock in 2 colors and sanded it a bit.  Then I used Martha Stewart Orange microbeads for the trimming.  The stamped sentiment is from K Andrew.

We are ONLY 15 followers away from my big 300 follower give away I want to do on the 25th!  Do you think we can get 15 more by the 25th?!

Where do you buy?!

Ok... I don't even know what the things are called but they are sleeves to me.  I am looking for those plastic  bag like things you put on your cards for when you sell them.  Where do I buy those?!

My First Subway Art

Our church is renovating an OLD post office.  Right as you walk in the front door you are greeted with this huge pole!  We wanted it to say "Welcome" in some way so I thought I would try out Subway Art for the first time.  This was done with brown vinyl and filled a 12x24 Cricut Mat.  I used all sorts off fonts so I am not going to list them all out :).
What do you think?

S'Mores Card

Cooking with Cricut is one of my favorite blogs to post on.  I was really worried I wouldn't get this done in time to post.  I did though!  I am exhausted but wanted to post it before heading to bed.

This camera is making me crazy but I tried to get the best shot I could of my squirrels roasting their marshmallows!

The squirrels are cut from Give a Hoot.  The fire and marshmallow sticks are from Camping Out.  The marshmallows are cotton balls.  The card stock is Bazzil.

I am linking this up to Cooking With Cricut.

While you are visiting my blog check out my 300 follower give away and my show and tell where you can link up your own project of choice!

Tuesday Teasers

My camera is broken.  It has been for weeks and it is KILLING me.  I have used my sons as necessary but I am not happy with the quality of pictures!

Regardless, this is what you get for a pic :)

The tag is going to contain a sentiment, I am just not sure which one yet.  I inked the edges of it too.  In the gift pack for 300 followers are these 3 "stickers" and another 3 piece travel set which will be revealed on Friday.

Make sure to check back Friday to see EVERYTHING in the give away!  9 more days to go and 20 followers... we CAN do it!!!!!

Show and Tell winner from last week!

Our first winner for show and tell is Jean from Jean's Crafty Corner!

Email me for your button Jean!!!  Jean also gets to be a guest designer for a future Show and Tell!  Join me in saying congrats to her!

Here is her project:
I love what it says and that she used canvas!

Show and Tell

Welcome to another Show and Tell. Soon a lucky guest designer will be giving you some inspiration for Show and Tell.  The guest designer is picked from someone who participates in my Show and tell!  Check back on Monday to see who I picked from last week's link up!

Here is my project for this week:

Show and Tell "rules"
When you link up link up to a specific project you want to share.  We want to see new projects.  I do ask that you link to this blog in your post.  I will delete links that don't. Last week I let them go but please do this this week :). The reason is that this is to get everyone traffic and if you don't send people here it is a dead end.  I never require people to be followers.  If you are linking up it would be great if you are but it is NOT required.
To make it fun for fellow crafters visit some of the others that have posted and leave them some blog love.  It is just the nice thing to do.  If you really like what you see on their blog follow them!  Make sure to tell them you found them here!

Celebrate the Occasion- Back to School

Our theme this week at  Celebrate the Occasion is back to school! We would LOVE to see your projects too so make sure to visit the blog there and link up your project!  Also, remember on Fridays I have a weekly show and tell and would love to see your project here!

My daughter has Mrs. G.... this year.  So we thought we would cut her her own apple using Make the Grade.  I used red mulberry paper to give it some texture.  The chalkboard paper is so darn cute isn't it?!  That is Coredinations.  I just sanded it for the letters to show through.

This was one of those cards that I just couldn't finish right.  I wanted to make it inside a chalkboard "frame" but I wasn't loving that at all when I did it.  Then I tried buttons and loved those even less.  It became trial and error just for final touches and eventually I put my hands up and said DONE! I like how it came out so that is what matters!

Make sure to check out my 300 Follower give away!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Introducing Show and Tells

***Follower give away coming soon!

As you may know, I am a Kindergarten teacher.  One of the best parts of Kindergarten is seeing the excitement in kids when they show off something they have done.  It really is no different as adults. It is cool to see what other people have done.  We bloggers can't really hide the fact that we like to show what we have done either ;).

Weekly I am going to start doing an open show and tell.  Some weeks I will have "rules" but there will be a good share of whatever you want!  My only request is that you visit some of the others that have posted and leave them some blog love.  It is just the nice thing to do.

Each week I will pick someone that has shared and have them guest design for a future week!

The whole purpose of this is to give everyone's blog some additional exposure.  If you visit someone's blog and you like what you see start following them.  If you are inspired tell them! This whole thing is just about having fun.

When you link up link up to a specific project you want to share.  We want to see new projects.  I do ask that you link to this blog in your post.  I will delete links that don't.  The reason is that this is to get everyone traffic and if you don't send people here it is a dead end.  I never require people to be followers.  If you are linking up it would be great if you are but it is NOT required.

Here is my show and tell this week:

This is a little frame thing I made to sell in a local store.  The images are cut from Life is a Beach.  The cardstock is embossed with a spellbinders thing and sanded down (I used my favorite- Coredinations.)  I can't remember what my font was done with...

Your turn.  PLEASE share a project!  One person will get to guest design here soon!  Feel free to combine it with other challenges and hops!!!

Challenges:
Crafting for all Seasons- Beach
Incy Wincy Designs- Monochromatic- I struggle with this I hope this counts!
Crafty Ann's Challenge Blog- summertime
Prarie Fairy Fridays- inspiration photo- I used the colors.
Divas By Design- summer
Creative Craft Challenges

Do you Pinterest?!

So this summer has been awesome!  I have been out and about and having so much fun with the kids.  Monday, however, despite several applications of 80 SPF sunscreen my day at the beach ended with one heck of a sunburn.  Today I am peeling.  Not pretty.  Not pretty at all.  Natural exfoliation? Perhaps.  Anyway, I told the kids we were having some down days this week.  So I have spent them on Pinterest.  At first I thought- what the heck is this?  Now I just can't get enough!!!

Do you Pinterest?!  If you do, I would love to have you join me on my boards.  Lets follow each other!  Click here!

Don't know Pinterest yet? What is it?  It is bookmarking images basically.  HOWEVER, you can organize them into categories and just find pics of pretty things, funky things, you name it.  It is like google images sorted to your tastes.  On a side note did you see you can do google searches with images now and not words?!

Off to more procrastinating... I mean recovering from busy days.

Tuesday Teasers on Thursday ;)

I just can't keep up this summer!  I want to stay caught up but I just can't!

Well, the deadline is coming!  I think we will make it to 300 followers by August 25th! What do you think?!  If we do we have that give away coming up!  Check that out here.

The ribbon is delicious!  It is hard to tell in my nighttime photo but it is brown and pink.  I love brown and anything with it!  I put a 5 yard spool of that in the prize package today!

I cut the shapes with nestabilities and the "Than You" is embossed with Sizzix thank you 2.
