S'Mores Card

Cooking with Cricut is one of my favorite blogs to post on.  I was really worried I wouldn't get this done in time to post.  I did though!  I am exhausted but wanted to post it before heading to bed.

This camera is making me crazy but I tried to get the best shot I could of my squirrels roasting their marshmallows!

The squirrels are cut from Give a Hoot.  The fire and marshmallow sticks are from Camping Out.  The marshmallows are cotton balls.  The card stock is Bazzil.

I am linking this up to Cooking With Cricut.

While you are visiting my blog check out my 300 follower give away and my show and tell where you can link up your own project of choice!

Show and Tell (for YOU) and Owl party favor bags

***If you are looking for the 300 Follower Give Away click here."

So, yeah I teach Kindergarten and show and tell is something we do in a bit of a different way but we still have time to show off something and tell about it.  We are really no different as adults, I mean that is part of why we blog right?!

I thought I would start show and tell here on my blog.  I am not sure if I am going to do it weekly or monthly yet we will see how it goes.

You do NOT need to have a blog to play.  You can post your show and tell on my Facebook page if you do not have a blog.  Then on Mr. Linky below just link us to your image on FB.

I do have a couple of guidelines for show and tell:
* Please link us directly to the post you want to show us NOT your entire blog.
* No back linking, project must be posted after the date/time I post
* If you turn off word verification I would love it ;)  It makes commenting so much easier for everyone.
* You need to link your post back to this blog.
I reserve the right to delete any links that don't follow the guidelines.  (Well, I won't delete it over word verification that is just a helpful one.)

I will pick one person who has linked up to provide the inspiration for a future show and tell!  Make sure to check out my plans for blog candy!

Here is what I created for show and tell this week:

My daughter wanted to have a slumber party while camping so she invited a couple of friends.  We kept everything pretty low key but had a lot of fun despite rain and the temps not going above 55 degrees!  Lately I have been using my Give a Hoot cartridge more, that is where the owl came from.  Isn't he cute?!  The sentiment is another fabulous one from K Andrew Designs "Amazing You".  I am new to stamping and Kristal has been great with ideas and things.  When I first saw this set I wasn't sure about it.  It is a bunch of random words I thought.  So I shared my opinion with Kristal and she pointed out that I use the set to mix and match.  DUH!  How the heck did I now know that LOL.  Now that I am a TINY bit more educated I LOVE the set!  My 8 year old thought it was very cool that was on the bags too!

I am looking forward to seeing your creations!

Tuesday Teasers! "You Float My Boat"

Do you ever start a card and you have something in mind and you go in an entirely other direction?!  When I started I jumped off from the inspiration photo at Crafty Hos.  However, that quickly went out the window when I saw the cut on Give a Hoot and thought that would be super cute with my "You float my boat" sentiment in the Splashtastic Summer Set from K Andrew Designs.

Recipe:
Bazzill cardstock
brown chalk for the boat
Give a Hoot Cricut cartridge
Boat dimensional stickers
K Andrew Splashtastic Summer stamps

As always, take a guess at what you think is being added to the prize package this week.  When I hit 300 followers by August 25th there will be a Give Away!  I still need 82 more!  So if you like what you see on my blog tell your friends about me ;)

Challenges:
Crafty Hos listed above
Pollycraft- water theme
Corrosive Challenge Blog- all about getting wet

Table Dancing Raccoon

I saw the grillin and chillin blog hop and I really wanted a project for it!

I hopped along and picked a critter and cut for it (Raccoon and picnic table) and the idea was born... a table dancing raccoon is coming to my next BBQ.  I put him on our plasticware holder.

You can check out the challenge at Bug Bites.

At Frosted Designs the challenge is to think about the outdoors and create a project.

The raccoon and sentiment are from Give a Hoot, the ipod is from Paisley and the table is from Camping Out.

Easter Card

Happy Sunday!
****Before leaving my blog check out the blog hop I have going on right now.  I would LOVE to have you link up your project and try to win my blog candy! CLICK HERE!****

I am out of town on vacation and had to bring my Cricut.  I think I have a serious illness :)  I just made a cute little Easter card.  There were a few more things I would have done or done differently but without access to my full craft space I was limited.  Then there are not craft stores anywhere near me!  How will I survive an entire week?!

I used Core'Dinations for the cardstock that is torn.  It is from the Whitewash Collection... how cute is that?!  I took a ton of before and after photos and process photos.  Then I realized that this laptop I have with me doesn't have a place for me to insert my camera's memory card.  YIKES!  I had to take the finish photos with my cell phone which is less than ideal but hey at least I got them!

Supplies:
* Core'dinations and Bazzil cardstock
* Gypsy Wanderings for bunny and Give a Hoot for butterfly
* Queen and Company pearls (Which are made to match Core'dinations!)
* Prima pink flowers
* Glue Dots

I am entering this into the following challenges:
All Sorts Challenge (sketch)
Fantabulous Cricut (Pink, green, yellow)
My Sheri's crafts.. a bunny
CWC Cash in Your Stash (I am finally breaking out my packs of Bazzil cardstock I was saving for special projects)
Paper Variety... use flowers
Die Cut Divas... 2 diff cuts 2 diff cartridges
Flutter By Wednesdays ... butterfly and soft pastels

Another St. Patrick's Day card

I am feeling a bit better today.  I actually WANTED to do something today so I am counting that as an awesome sign.  My plan is even to go to work tomorrow!!!  Even better :)

Anyway, for today I thought I would make a St. Patrick's Day card and enter it into a few challenges.  I am actually pretty happy with how it came out!  No pain killers today and a cute card... this is going to be a FABULOUS Monday!

Thanks for checking out this project!  If you find it interesting take a peek at other things on my blog and give me some tips and love.  I have no fear in asking for that :)

What I did:
The sentiment is a $1 clear stamp!  YAY I LOVE bargains.  It is "studio G"
The pot is from Paper Doll Dress Up
The shamrocks are from Give A Hoot
The paper is random paper I had in my stash
I used craft glitter for the gold
The punch is ek success- scroll and dots

For the challenges:
Crafting with Christina is a St. Patty's project

My first explosion box :)

Sorry for all the pics, this one is hard to photograph!!!!

I keep seeing all of these really cute explosion box things.  So, I figured what the heck why not try it out :)  Over at Cooking With Cricut they have a sswirls and twirls challenge going on so I thought this would be a fun way to do that!

To get started I watched a YouTube video.  That was definitely worth my time! I love how easy YouTube makes our life.

One thing I learned for next time.  Use DOUBLE SIDED card stock for this project.  Trust me.  It would have saved me some money on Excederin.  Oh well, live and learn.

Overall this was a fun project.  It is for a friend that is TRYING to recover from surgery but it is taking longer than expected.  Hopefully this will bring a little smile to her face.

Most of the paper I used for this is from the DCWV Garden Party Stack.  I did cut a few images on my Cricut to add to this.  I took butterflies from Paper Pups and Give a Hoot, the silhouettes are from A Child's year.  Oh the swirls are from Accent Essentials. The stamp is from Stampin' Up.  I don't do much with stamps so that is a skill I need to learn.

If you want some "how to" info let me know and I will show you where I learned.

Tacky Enough?

This card is for the Tacky Tuesday challenge at September 9th.  The card needs to have the word "chick" on it and a chick.  I got the chick from A Child's Year.  The "Rule" comes from Give a Hoot.  It actually says "Trees Rule" but I used my Gypsy to get rid of the "trees".  I cut the "Chicks" out with Base Camp.

Tacky and quick... but hey it was cool to practice using the tool on my Gypsy where I hid the word trees.  I liked trying that out.
