Did you see my Disney Countdown post? These water bottles were one of the "magic" gifts mentioned in that post.
In my experience there are 2 types of people who don't throw away anything and buy random crap that is under $1 because you never know when you will need it. Teachers and crafters. Well, I am both so I couldn't pass these up when I saw them on clearance for 25 cents. Of course, that was a couple of years ago and they have been in my "to craft someday" drawer.
I used vinyl scraps and cut the letters and the Mickey heads from the Mickey font cartridge. The Disney water bottles I saw at Target were $9 each so I was pretty happy with this money saving way. My kids LOVED them. They carried them all through the airport and have used them some in their lunches since our return. :)
Thanks for visiting! I would love to see what you have done with water bottles if you have something on your blog!
Great deal...as a teacher I agree! You just never know when you will be able to use an item.

Hi
ReplyDeleteWow, what a great deal, they came up looking awesome.
I'm not sure that vinyl really comes under the Papercraft criteria or not for the Make It Monday linky party though........
Still, it was great to come visit your wonderful blog.
Thank you for sharing with us.
Michelle :o)
Don't you just love when that happens?:-)They came out super and the fact that the kids love them is better still. I would carry one anyday. Thanks for the tip
ReplyDeleteSorry Michelle- I sent this as an email too :), Sorry about not meeting the rule. I just consider myself a paper crafter and didn't even really consider this as not counting. Sorry. You are right vinyl is not paper. I went back to try to delete my link up and it won't let me. Please delete it for me.
ReplyDeleteSuch a great idea!
